Accessibility
We want chashmish.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including anyone browsing with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or in a hurry on a poor connection. This page says plainly what we do, what we have not verified, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.
What we build into the site
- Meaningful structure. Pages use real headings, lists and landmarks in a sensible order, so a screen reader can move through them rather than reading a wall of text.
- Keyboard access. Links, buttons, menus and form fields can be reached and operated without a mouse, and the focused element is visibly marked.
- Text alternatives. Images that carry information are given alt text, and decorative images are marked so they are skipped.
- Contrast and text size. We aim for text that stays readable against its background, and that reflows when you zoom in rather than disappearing off the side.
- Labelled forms. Fields are labelled, and errors are described in words rather than by colour alone.
What we do not claim
The site has not been independently audited, so we do not claim conformance with any particular level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Saying otherwise would be easy and dishonest.
We also know there are gaps. Product photographs and descriptions come to us from the brands, and their alt text is sometimes thinner than we would like. Parts of the checkout are supplied by our payment providers and are not fully in our hands. We fix what we find and what you report.
If the site defeats you

Visiting a studio
If you have access needs when you visit — step-free entry, somewhere to sit, extra time, or someone to meet you at the door — ring us before you come. We will tell you honestly what to expect at that particular shop and what we can do to help, rather than have you arrive to a surprise. Addresses are on Find a Studio.
Tell us what is broken
If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, please write to contact@chashmish.com. It helps to include:
- the address of the page;
- what you were trying to do and what happened instead;
- the device, browser, and any assistive software you were using.
We will come back to you, and where a fix will take time we will offer another way to get what you needed. Reports of this kind are the main way this page gets shorter.
