A short history
Tommy Hilfiger started out selling jeans and records from a small shop called People's Place in Elmira, New York, in 1969. He was 18. The shop failed in 1977, and he turned to design. His own label launched in 1985 with backing from Mohan Murjani, an Indian businessman. The red, white and blue flag has been the brand mark ever since. The brand now belongs to PVH Corp. Its eyewear, both spectacles and sunglasses, has been designed and made by Safilo since 2010.
Tommy Hilfiger frames price in India
Tommy Hilfiger frames price in India runs from about ₹3,500 to ₹14,000 across retailers, with most frames between ₹7,000 and ₹9,500. At Chashmish the frame costs about ₹5,500 to ₹11,000. Lenses are added on top, and their price depends on the lens type and your power.
| Frame price | What it usually buys |
|---|---|
| ₹5,500–₹7,000 | Light metal frames — rimless and half-rim rectangles. The lightest Tommy Hilfiger specs to wear all day. |
| ₹7,000–₹9,000 | Full-rim metal frames, and clip-on sets that come with a magnetic sun front. |
| ₹9,000–₹11,000 | Thicker full-rim acetate frames in deeper colours such as havana. |
| ₹11,000–₹14,000 | Market data: titanium rimless frames and larger clip-on sets sold elsewhere in India. |
What lenses add
The price on Tommy Hilfiger eyeglass frames is for the frame only. On the product page you choose single vision, progressive or bifocal, zero-power blue-cut, or frame only. The lens price is then added as a separate line, so you see the full cost before you pay. Stronger powers and progressive lenses cost more than a simple single-vision lens. If you are unsure, book a fitting and our optician will advise you.
How to choose Tommy Hilfiger eyeglasses
Choose the rim type first, because it decides which lenses will work. Then choose the material, then check the three size numbers inside the arm against a pair you already wear. Face shape comes last: angular frames suit rounder faces, softer shapes suit a strong jaw.
Rimless, half-rim or full-rim
| Rim type | How it looks | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Rimless | No rim at all. The lenses are fixed to the bridge and arms with small screws. Lightest and most subtle. | Low to medium power. Lenses must be tough (polycarbonate or high-index), and the lens edge stays visible. |
| Half-rim | A rim along the top only. The lens is held underneath by a thin nylon cord. | Everyday office wear and most medium powers. A cleaner look than full-rim, sturdier than rimless. |
| Full-rim | The rim goes all the way round the lens. | High power, progressives and anyone hard on their glasses. The rim hides thick lens edges. |
Metal or acetate
Metal Tommy Hilfiger glasses frames are thin and light, with adjustable nose pads. They suit people who wear glasses all day. Acetate frames are thicker and warmer in colour, and sit directly on the nose. They make a stronger statement and hide thicker lenses well. More on both on our materials page.
Reading the size numbers
Inside one arm you will find something like TH 6268 C1 55□17-140. TH 6268 is the model, C1 is the colour, and 55, 17 and 140 are the lens width, bridge width and arm length in millimetres. Read the numbers on the glasses you wear now. Stay within 1–2 mm on lens width and bridge, and the new frame will fit the same way.
By face shape
Round faces look best in square and rectangular Tommy Hilfiger glasses frames. Square faces suit softer, rounder shapes. Oval faces can wear almost anything. Our face shape guide goes into more detail.
Tommy Hilfiger frames for men and women
Tommy Hilfiger frames for men are mostly rectangles and squares in metal or dark acetate, often rimless or half-rim for office wear. Women's styles add cat-eye, rounder and lighter shapes. Many frames are unisex, so pick by size and shape, not the label.
Tommy Hilfiger frames for men
Most men choose a rectangle in metal for work, or a square in acetate for a bolder look. A lens width of 53–55 mm suits most adult men's faces. Wider faces should look at the larger end and check the arm length too.
Tommy Hilfiger women's frames
The brand makes women's eyeglass frames in cat-eye, rounder and lighter metal styles, usually in slightly smaller sizes. Many of the slimmer metal rectangles in this range also suit women well. Check the lens width and bridge, as a narrower bridge stops the glasses sliding down the nose.
Best Tommy Hilfiger specs for your needs
A quick way to narrow the Tommy Hilfiger specs in the grid above. Each pick is a frame type, with one example from the current range.
- Lightest for all-day office wear: rimless metal. For example the TH 6227.
- A clean office look that still feels sturdy: half-rim metal. For example the TH 6264.
- High power or progressive lenses: full-rim metal. For example the TH 6268.
- A bolder, warmer look: full-rim acetate. For example the TH 6296 in havana.
- Glasses and sunglasses in one: a clip-on set. For example the TH 1080.
Lenses for Tommy Hilfiger spectacles
All Tommy Hilfiger specs here can take prescription lenses. Choose single vision for one power, progressive or bifocal for distance and reading together, or zero-power blue-cut for screen work. Lenses come from brands including ZEISS, Essilor, Rodenstock and Nova.
- High power: choose a full-rim frame and a thinner high-index lens. The rim hides the lens edge, and the lens stays lighter.
- Progressives: they need enough lens depth top to bottom. Full-rim and half-rim frames with a deeper lens work best. An optician should take your fitting height.
- Rimless: needs tough lenses that can be drilled without cracking. We advise which ones when you order.
See every lens option in our lenses range, or read the prescription guide before you enter your power. One thing to know: lenses are cut to your power alone, so they cannot be returned on a change of mind. Check your power and lens type carefully before ordering. If the lenses are wrong or faulty, that is covered in full.
Tommy Hilfiger clip-on frames
A clip-on is a normal prescription frame sold with a matching tinted front that attaches by magnets. Wear it plain indoors, then clip on the sun lens outside. It is the simplest way to get prescription sunglasses, because you pay for one set of lenses.
The TH 1080 is a square acetate clip-on set. The catch: the clip adds a little weight, and you cannot change its tint. For long drives or hard sun, a dedicated pair of prescription sunglasses is still better.
What comes with an original Tommy Hilfiger frame

Tommy Hilfiger frames — frequently asked questions
What is the Tommy Hilfiger frames price in India?
Tommy Hilfiger frames cost about ₹3,500 to ₹14,000 in India, and most sell for ₹7,000 to ₹9,500. At Chashmish the frame costs about ₹5,500 to ₹11,000. Prescription lenses are added separately, depending on the lens type and your power.
Does the price include lenses?
No. The price shown is for the frame. When you choose a lens type on the product page, the lens price is added as a separate line, so you see the full cost before paying. You can also buy the frame only.
Who makes Tommy Hilfiger eyeglasses?
The Safilo Group, an Italian eyewear company, under licence from the brand. Safilo has made Tommy Hilfiger spectacles and sunglasses since 2010, and the licence runs to the end of 2030. Tommy Hilfiger itself is owned by PVH Corp.
Are Tommy Hilfiger frames good?
Yes, for the price. Tommy Hilfiger specs are designer frames, not luxury ones. You get a recognisable name, proper hinges and decent materials at mid-range prices. They are a step up from house-brand frames, without the ₹20,000-plus price of luxury labels.
Can I get high power or progressive lenses in Tommy Hilfiger specs?
Yes. Choose a full-rim frame for high power, as the rim hides the thicker lens edge, and pick a thinner high-index lens. Progressives need a frame with enough lens depth. Our optician can confirm a frame suits your prescription before you order.
Are Tommy Hilfiger rimless frames strong?
They are light and comfortable, but more delicate than full-rim frames, because the lenses are held by small screws. They need tough lenses such as polycarbonate. For heavy daily use, a half-rim frame is a sturdier choice with a similar clean look.
Do you have Tommy Hilfiger womens frames?
The brand makes women's eyeglass frames in cat-eye, rounder and slim metal styles. Many of the slimmer metal rectangles also suit women. Filter the grid above by size and shape, and check that the bridge width matches your current pair.
Does the Tommy Hilfiger website sell spectacles?
No. The Tommy Hilfiger India website sells clothing and accessories but not eyeglasses. Tommy Hilfiger spectacles are sold in India through opticians, online and in store.
Is there a warranty on Tommy Hilfiger frames?
Yes. Frames carry the manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects. It does not cover accidental damage or ordinary wear. Keep your invoice, and bring the frame to a Chashmish studio for free adjustments for as long as you own it.
What comes in the box with Tommy Hilfiger glasses frames?
A Tommy Hilfiger case and a cleaning cloth. The model code, colour code and size are printed inside the arm. Clip-on models come with their magnetic sun front.
